By ordering from our Centaur Forge Corp. retail store, catalog, or website, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

Ordering:

For your convenience, you may place your order in the following four methods:

    • Once you place an order with us, you will be added to our mailing list and given a customer number.
    • To expedite your orders, please use your customer number.
    • Shipping costs are not included in the pricing you see online.
    • There is no minimum order value.

At Centaur Forge, we offer the following shipping options within the Continental USA:

  • $10 Flat Rate Shipping for ONLINE orders only.
  • Flat Rate Shipping: Orders ship for a flat rate of $10 for up to 30 lbs. Please note that not all orders qualify for this flat rate shipping. Certain items, such as oversized or heavy products, may incur additional charges.
  • Overweight Shipping Charges: Orders weighing over 30 lbs. will incur additional charges.
  • Commercial Truck Shipping: Orders weighing 150 lbs. or more are shipped via commercial truck.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does flat rate shipping apply to all items?
A: No, flat rate shipping applies only to qualifying items. Some items, such as oversized or heavy products, are exempt from this policy and may incur additional shipping charges. For example, large anvils, coal, and non-conforming packages are subject to actual shipping rates based on size, weight, and destination.
Q: What happens if my order includes exempt items?
A: If your order contains items that are exempt from flat rate shipping, at checkout you'll need to select the UPS Exempt Items shipping method.
Q: How will I know if an item is exempt from flat rate shipping?
A: Near the "Add To Cart" button you will see a message "UPS - Exempt Items Shipping".
Q: Can I still receive flat rate shipping for non-exempt items in my order?
A: No, flat rate shipping cannot be applied to non-exempt items. These products will have actual shipping charges calculated based on their weight, size, and destination. If you happen to select Flat Rate Shipping with an item in your cart that is exempt from Flat Rate Shipping and process your order, we will contact you with the additional charges.
Q: Are there any other shipping options for exempt items?
A: Yes, we offer commercial truck shipping for larger items and expedited options such as Next Day Air and 2-Day Air. Actual shipping rates for expedited services will be calculated at checkout. Commercial truck shipping rates will be provided separately for approval before finalizing the order.
Q: What does the Flat Rate Shipping cost tier system look like?
A: The Flat Rate Shipping cost tier system is based on weight ranges. Here is the breakdown:

Flat Rate and Non-Flat Rate Item Shipping Policy:

  • If an order includes both Flat Rate and Non-Flat Rate items, the correct shipping method to select is UPS - Exempt Items Shipping. This ensures that the appropriate shipping charges are applied based on the items in your order.
  • If UPS - Flat Rate Shipping is selected incorrectly, we will contact you for the additional funds required to ship your order. Please note that orders will not be processed or shipped until the correct shipping charges have been paid.

Same-Day Shipping:

  • In-stock orders received by 2:00 PM CST are typically shipped the same day.
  • For orders placed after 2:00 PM CST that require same-day shipping, there is an expedited charge of $20.
  • If you need faster service, we offer UPS or FedEx Next Day Air, Second Day Air, 3-Day Select, or USPS Express Mail.
  • Expedited orders must be placed by 12:00 PM CST during regular business hours.

Important Notes:

  • UPS and FedEx will NOT deliver to PO Boxes.
  • Orders placed on weekends or holidays will ship on the next regular business day. You may be contacted to confirm and agree to any additional shipping charges.
  • We do not offer free shipping unless it is a pickup order.
 

Carrier-Specific Information:

  • Most orders within the Continental USA are shipped via UPS Ground.
  • FedEx Ground orders may have a 24-hour pickup delay.
  • Coal, Coke, and Commercial Truck items are not eligible for Next Day Air, Second Day Air, or 3-Day Select shipping options.
 

Shipped via Commercial Truck:

  • Orders that collectively weigh 150 lbs. or more are shipped via Commercial Truck which must be paid in full by the customer. You will be notified of the correct shipping charges at which time you can approve of the additional freight charges or cancel your order.
 

Oversized and Non-Conforming Packages:

  • Oversized and Non-Conforming Packages will be charged an additional shipping charge of $20.00.
  • These additional charges only apply to unboxed anvils, anvil stands, forge hoods and all orders with a total shipping weight over 50 lbs. or more.
 

Hawaii, Alaska & Outlying Territories:

  • Orders being shipped to HAWAII, ALASKA and outlying US territories that weigh 69 lbs. or less are shipped through the United States Postal Service for the exact amount shown on https://www.usps.com. While we utilize the USPS Flat Rate Boxes whenever possible, if the order can not fit into one of the Flat Rate Boxes provided by the post office, the shipping charge will be the actual USPS charge calculated at https://www.usps.com.
  • Oversized and non-conforming items being shipped to Alaska, Hawaii or other outlying US territories or internationally are shipped through UPS, FedEx or a freight forwarder. We will notify you of the updated shipping charges and you will have the option to approve of the updated shipping charges or cancel the order.
  • Orders over 70 lbs. will be shipped using UPS or FedEx and you will be contacted for your approval of the additional shipping charges or to allow you to cancel your order.

Payment:

  • Centaur Forge LLC accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, check, and money orders.
  • We also accept PayPal on orders placed over the website only.
  • For international orders, we also accept wire transfers. Centaur Forge LLC. is not responsible for any additional fees or bank charges incurred by the issuing bank.
  • All payments will be denominated in US Dollars.
  • Centaur Forge LLC is not responsible for any additional duties or Customs fees on orders being shipped internationally.
 

International Payment and Shipping:

  • For international orders, we accept PayPal (web-store orders only), Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, check, money order, or wire transfers.
  • Centaur Forge LLC is not responsible for any additional fees or bank charges incurred by the issuing bank.
  • All payment will be denominated in US Dollars.
  • Orders being shipped to any country outside the US are shipped through the Unites States Postal Service or a Freight Forwarder of our choosing.
  • Once we receive an order that is being shipped internationally, we will calculate the shipping cost and e-mail an updated invoice with the correct shipping charges for approval.
  • Orders paid with PayPal will be sent a PayPal Fund Request for the additional shipping charges. When you receive the updated invoice, you can approve the additional charges or notify us to cancel the order.
  • Centaur Forge is not responsible for any additional Duties or Customs Fees when the order is delivered.

Back Orders:

  • Centaur Forge tries to keep stock on all our items, but sometimes the manufacturers do fall behind. In the event that we are out of stock on an item, we will ship it to you as soon as we receive it with no additional shipping charge.
  • You will not be charged for the back-ordered item until it is shipped out to you.
  • If you have paid through PayPal, at your request, we will issue a refund for the item through PayPal and will re-invoice you for the item when it becomes available. If you cannot wait for the item to arrive, please call us and we can offer you a substitute or you can cancel your back order.
  • We will not accept returns on items over 30 days from original purchase date.

Returns:

  • If you have ordered a product that you wish to return or exchange, please return it in their original containers within 30 days of receipt.
  • Before returning any product, please call us to get a Return Authorization Number.
  • Such returns are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee and the customer is responsible for paying return shipping charges.
  • We do not accept returns on Coal, Coke, DVD's, Books, discontinued items, or Special Order items.
  • Any tampering with products sold by Centaur Forge will void the manufacturer's warranty of that item.
  • We will not accept returns on items over 30 days from original purchase date.

Special Orders:

  • If there is an item that we do not carry that you would like to try from any of our regular vendors, we can special order it for you for a fee of $15 per item ordered.
  • We require pre-payment in advance for all Special Order items. Special Order items such as horseshoes that we have to order by the box must be purchased by the box. There are no returns allowed on special order items.

Sales Tax:

  • Sales tax is charged on all Wisconsin, Illinois, Oklahoma, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Washington, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and Kansas orders. No sales tax is charged for orders from other states.
