Centaur Vulcan Firepot with Sliding Ashgate
The Centaur Vulcan Firepot with Sliding Ashgate is a versatile and robust component, originally designed for use in masonry forges but equally effective in steel forges. This cast iron firepot comes fully equipped with a clinker/breaker ball assembly, elbow, and a convenient sliding ashgate for easy cleaning and maintenance. When installing in steel forges, the firepot can be hung by its side flanges with the addition of an angle iron "stopper" at the ends of the opening, or it can be set with the lower lips resting on the steel hearth, leaving the side flanges elevated for added stability. The Centaur Vulcan Firepot is designed to accommodate optional openings in steel hearths, measuring either 8-1/2" x 10-1/2" or 9-1/2" x 14"+.
